SMILE
Janis Wren or Tammy Chambers
Single Moms In Life Enjoyment. Does your child/children bring a smile to your face? Does the sometimes-overwhelming role of being a single mom ever make you frown? If so, maybe you could benefit from a little food, fun & frolic with the S.M.I.L.E. ministry. Bring some more enjoyment to your life by networking with other single moms. Build new friendships, develop a support system, learn about parenting issues unique to your situation and participate in planned recreational activities for both the family and just for moms. We target single moms of any age with children of any age.

Women to Women Mentoring
Juanita Ruby & Brenda Buseman
This ministry acts to match women mentors with women mentorees for support and encouragement. Our mission is to give the women of Orchard Hill Church the opportunity to experience joy and growth in their Christian life by participating in one-on-one supporting and encouraging spiritual friendships. A mentor will be a woman who is a practicing Christian, regularly attends Orchard Hill, and has the desire to let her life be an example and godly role model. A mentee will be an attender of Orchard Hill who is younger in her walk with the Lord. Women of all ages are welcome. The scriptural foundation is Titus 2:3-5, where we are told to teach and guide the next generation of Christian women in how to live the life of a godly woman.

Quilting - Meeting Times
Sally Baker
The Quilting team meets regularly to make quilts that are given to young people who enter a youth detention facility in the area. The ‘raw materials’ we use are all donated cotton scraps and fabric remnants and come from the generosity of Orchard Hill members and friends. The creativity we use in putting the fabrics together into patterns is pure enjoyment. The labor involved in sewing the quilts together gets lost in the fun of doing it in the company of friends. The finished products are always amazing reminders of how God blesses the cooperative efforts of His children. And finally, the quilts themselves become a very tangible way of sharing God's love with those in need.
