Family Connection
Wendy Blinn
This year our Wednesday night program is offering every Orchard Hill family the opportunity to be a part of The Jesus Family Plan which has been designed to help your family get more connected to God and to grow together as you experience what being a ‘Forever Friend’ of Jesus is all about.

Download the Jesus Family Calling Plan Calendar! (PDF)

NOTE: This calendar begins with October and goes through April.  When printing it out, print it out beginning with the cover, then put the picture for October on the back of the cover (upside down). Then print the calendar for October with the picture of November on the back, again upside down. Keep printing this way until you have printed the calendar page for April. Then staple the calendar at the top of the cover, landscape position. If stapling doesn’t work, find a creative way to connect the pages together string/yarn, metal fasteners, etc.  Punch a hole in the middle of the bottom and you can hang it on your wall or fridge. Enjoy your family time!

Mom's Morning Out
Linda Bartlett
An opportunity for mothers of small children to meet for prayer, Bible study, sharing and mutual support. Mom's Morning Out meets once a week, on Friday mornings, during the school year. The time consists of an hour together, then the participants take turns helping with childcare here at church while the other moms are free for the next hour and 15 minutes to do whatever they would like with their morning out time.

SMILE
Janis Wren or Tammy Chambers
Single Moms In Life Enjoyment. Does your child/children bring a smile to your face? Does the sometimes-overwhelming role of being a single mom ever make you frown? If so, maybe you could benefit from a little food, fun & frolic with the S.M.I.L.E. ministry. Bring some more enjoyment to your life by networking with other single moms. Build new friendships, develop a support system, learn about parenting issues unique to your situation and participate in planned recreational activities for both the family and just for moms. We target single moms of any age with children of any age.

Marriage

“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24.

Marriage is God’s design and it is an extremely important institution that we place a lot of value on. There are many ways individuals can work at having a healthy marriage. We promote and provide information to couples in the following areas: premarital counseling, marriage retreats, and Home Builders sessions.

Homebuilders
The HomeBuilders Couples Series is a small-group Bible study developed by FamilyLife dedicated to making your family all that God intended. Whether you've been married for years or are newly married, this series will help you and your spouse discover timeless principles from God's Word that you can apply to your family.

A godly home is built by knowing God's blueprints for marriage and family and putting them into action. Getting involved in a HomeBuilders group can help you build a stronger marriage, build a godly family, and develop lifelong friendships.

You do not need to be an expert Bible teacher to host a HomeBuilders group. The host couple’s main function is to provide an environment of openness, warmth, and acceptance. Visit www.familylife.com

Premarital Counseling
Sue Fowlkes
An opportunity for individuals about to be married to receive training in pre-marital counseling and to have a mentoring couple. The purpose of this ministry is to encourage engaged couples to look at their relationship "with a different pair of glasses" - they may be surprised with what they see! It is better to tackle those unresolved issues before the wedding and with an impartial person directing the conversation. A couple will meet approximately six times over a period of six weeks.
