Before You Visit
The Things You Need to Know!
We have created a safe environment for your kids. On Sunday mornings, we offer nurseries for infants through age two and programming for kids age three through sixth grade. As of July 13th, 2014, Orchard Hill will be utilizing the KidCheck check-in system to keep your kids safe and your information secure. For the fastest check-in experience on Sunday morning, you can sign up for a free account now by clicking here. Alternatively, you can sign up for a KidCheck account at any of our check-in stations on a Sunday morning. Entrance "E" on the southeast end of the building is the most convenient entrance. At check-in, both kid and parents receive security tags with matching numbers. If you see your number appear on the screen at the front of the worship area, please go to the check-in area. When the service is over, return to your kid's classroom for pick-up.
If you would prefer your kid(s) to sit with you during the worship service, that's great! All are welcome in the Worship services and your kids are no exception!
We provide nurseries for kids from birth to 3 years old and kid programming on Sundays from 4 years old to 5th grade. The first time you visit, you can check in your kid in either the Community Title Building (Nursery) or Farm Bureau Building (4 years old - 5th grade). In our nursery & Wee Adventure rooms, both kids and parents will receive security tags with matching numbers. If we need to contact you during the service, nursery volunteers or Jenn Venenga, our Kid's Ministry Director, will come find you in the theatre. When the service is over, you can return to your kid's classroom and pick them up.
Nurseries coming soon. We want to welcome young and growing families so a safe and secure place for your kids is on the roadmap at this location.
ARE MY KIDS SAFE?
For the safety and protection of all OHC kids, a background check is completed on all volunteers before they spend time with your kid.
CAN I VOLUNTEER?
We love for parents to volunteer with their kid because it gives you a shared faith-building experience! You can take what you learned in the lesson together and talk about it at home all week long! If you would like to volunteer, visit our serving opportunities page or contact Rendi Scholten, email@example.com, for information about volunteer opportunities!
In addition to parents, we also welcome junior high, high school and college age students, single adults, young couples, empty nesters and seniors to consider volunteering. If you have a heart for kids we've got a place for you!
I STILL HAVE A QUESTION?
As a Kid's Ministry Team, we love to hear from you! We want to link with parents and kids in their journey of faith. We welcome your questions and comments. You may contact us at 319-266-9796 or email Rendi Scholten, Director of Kid's Ministries, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
