What Happens When God Celebrates (room 109)- Sally Baker is your guide!

From the beginning of the Old Testament throughout the Biblical narrative, one of the most powerful ways God has chosen to relate to His people is through special times of celebration.  These holidays were meant to be a time of worshiping God for who He is, remembering what He had done, teaching children about God's love, and looking forward to what God had promised for the future.
 
Because the Old Testament festivals and holy days anticipated the coming of the Messiah and the importance of His mission, they are also vivid pictures that can enlighten our understanding of how Jesus is the fulfillment of God's eternal plan.  For 8 weeks this summer we will be watching films about the Old Testament holidays, looking at how Jesus used these special times in his teaching ministry, and discussing what it can mean for us to understand the significance of these celebrations.  Join us beginning June 8 at 9:45 in Room 109 for this summer's OH Film Festival.

Fall Adult Community Group Begins Sept 7

Parental Guidance Required – Room 113. Of all the assignments God may give us, few are as important as the task of raising our children. Join us for 6 wks, as we think, discuss and learn together about how to prepare our children for the future. Led by Doug and Deb Tensen.

Nursery
Amanda Akkerman
This ministry provides childcare to infants while parents attend worship. The purpose is to give parents some much needed worship time without distractions. We provide a place where parents can feel comfortable leaving their children for an hour each Sunday. The nursery is open each Sunday at 9:45 am and 11:00am in Grundy Center (3 doors down from the theatre to the south).

Pre-K Great Adventure - Not meeting during the summer

4 & 5 yr olds meet in the Community Title Building; 9:45am
Grades 1st – 5th meet in the GC Community Building. 9:45am

Children should register, or re-register, at the Info Table

Student Ministry

CHAOS (Grades 6-8)
Will meet on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in the Farm Bureau Building, beginning in the fall. Watch for details.

Junior High CHAOS – Kicks off Sept 10 at 7:00 pm at Rick & Donna Saak’s (1101 13th St, GC). All junior high students are welcome!

Big House (Grades 9-12)
Will meet on Wednesdays, beginning September 10. Vans will leave the GC Community Center at 6:00pm to travel to the Cedar Falls Campus. Contact Brenda at 824-3763 or 939-3139 or Misty at 404-4200.


Senior High Youth – Kicks off Sept. 3 at 6:30 pm at Orion Park, 1300 G Ave, GC. All high school students are welcome!

Friends First (Grades 9-12)
Will meet Wednesdays at 6:30 pm in the fall. Contact Natalie Kracht or Stefanie Rohler for information.

Women’s Wednesday Opportunities
