Sing in Exultation

SING IN EXULTATION

It’s been said that music and sports are international languages. Both music and sports communicate and build bridges across the world. We see this in our Five Focus Communities—Mozambique, Haiti, Walnut Neighborhood, Grundy County and the Cedar Valley. When we travel to Mozambique or Haiti two areas that help us engage with young people are singing together, even without knowing the languages and playing soccer, volleyball or kickball.

Psalm 98: 4-6 says this, “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—shout for joy before the Lord, the King.

Our Christmas Series during December 2014 is called Sing in Exultation and will focus upon the lyrics and history of five traditional Christmas Hymns. Our teachers will bring a fresh perspective to the powerful and good news of the birth of Jesus by focusing upon:

O Holy Night—Kelly Lantz
