UNI moved in all their incoming freshmen in August. It’s a lot, it’s overwhelming, and the elevators had a serious workout. We had volunteers come and help students and their families move in their belongings into their dorm room. We saw UNI athletes and coaching helping families as well. It was cool to welcome students, connect with families, and be a kind face. It was a lot of people and a lot of moving, but so many families were thankful for making 3 trips turn into one. It required patience, lifting up the families who were saying goodbye to their students, and helping the college be a positive experience. What a cool way for so many people from UNI athletics, various churches, and the community to show up and welcome the incoming freshmen!
