Connect & Care

The Connect & Care Ministry at Orchard Hill is a volunteer-based group with a heart for the older generation and people in crisis situations. We reach out to the people in our congregation who have mobility limitations, or are hit with an unexpected illness or situation. The main focus of the team is connection through making visits, sending cards and visiting over the phone. Mutually beneficial relationships are often built between the volunteers and the contacts they serve.

This ministry serves in various ways which include:

• Visits to homes, care facilities and hospitals
• Writing encouragement cards
• Praying for specific requests
• Making phone calls
• Delivering meals

This team meets together every 3 months to plan scheduled visits and receives weekly email updates with new and ongoing prayer and visiting needs. 

People of all ages are invited to serve with this team.
